On Wednesday I met up with a lovely couple from Ampthill, near Bedford on holiday in Pickering, to photograph their dog Jack. Jack is a 6 year old rescue Curly Coated Retriever and thankfully the April showers held off long enough on Wednesday morning for me to capture Jack having fun on a walk.
Curly Coats are an uncommon breed with only 60 puppies born in this country last year but have been around since the middle of the 1800′s. They are the largest of the retriever breeds and as you can gather from their name they have a coat of tight curls either in liver brown or black. Just don’t mistake them for a Labradoodle!
Here’s a few photographs from the shoot:
Have a nice day.
